Replacement sent promptly
The steel memo bottle is durable and pleasant to use. It is a bit heavy, though. Plus, when you remove the lid, the o-ring seal sometimes sticks to the top of the bottle. That has happened a number of times. Once, the ring then came off when I was not looking. So, I needed a new o-ring.
I wrote to Memo bottle, as a loyal customer with a half-dozen of their bottles - in plastic and metal. They replied, asking for my purchase information, a photo, etc. Seemed like a lot of info given that I was asking to purchase an o-ring. I sent the photo, and they acknowledged that did have my details in their system, but at another e-mail address. Then, I was told that they had no o-rings in stock, but they could send me a whole lid ($10). They did that ... but I hate to throw away the old lid. That is kind of the point of using a Memo bottle, NOT throwing things away.
Sure, response with the new lid was pretty quick. I was not charged for it or for shipping, which were appreciated. Am just blowing off steam - would be great if they had o-rings in stock, so that I could buy 2 or 3. Simple answer to a simple problem.
